Export Control Course Introduction

This Online Video Course is based on a Special Session of the Intellectual Property Managers/Contracts & Grants Officers Joint Meeting held at UC Irvine Campus in November, 2005, entitled Export Control Regulations: Overview for Research and Tech Transfer Staff." The presentations and materials in this course were prepared by Barbara Yoder, of the Research Administration Office at the UC Office of the President, and Patrick Schlesinger, formerly of the UCOP Office of Research.

This Video Course is based on a two-day Special Topics Session, Legal Issues in Research and License Agreements, which was presented by the UC Office of Technology Transfer and the Office of General Counsel on April 10 and 11, 2007, in Oakland, California.

This Session explored legal provisions that are common in both research and license agreements. It included presentations by University Counsels Marty Simpson, Mary MacDonald, Norm Hamill, Maria Shanle and Rita Hao, as well as a set of case studies presented by representatives from several campuses. The event also incorporated informative Question & Answer sessions.

This Video Course is based on a Special Topics Session, Non-Exclusive, Royalty-Free Invention Rights in Research Agreements, which was presented by the UC Office of Technology Transfer on June 10, 2008, in Oakland, California.
